Robert Gilchrist — President & CEO

Robert Gilchrist's career in safety is grounded in one of the most demanding environments imaginable: the United States Army. After enlisting and serving in Military Intelligence, Robert  began his journey in safety within the military beginning in 1992 when he took his first two safety courses— developing a discipline and commitment to protecting people that has defined his professional life ever since.

Over the decades that followed, Robert built a career that spans construction, manufacturing, corporate, and occupational safety — accumulating the kind of cross-sector experience that few safety professionals can match. That breadth of knowledge culminated in earning two of the most respected credentials in the safety profession: the Safety Management Professional (SMP) and the Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST), both issued by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP).

Nearly 15 years ago, Robert channeled that expertise into founding Gilchrist Safety Solutions, LLC. Since then, he has grown the company into a trusted safety partner operating across 16 states, with a project portfolio ranging from multi-million dollar commercial developments to marquee industrial builds valued at $4 billion. From pharmaceutical expansions to large-scale construction sites, Robert and his team deliver safety programs that protect workers, satisfy regulators, and give owners confidence that their projects are in capable hands.
